演講摘要 : This paper examines the role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in structural change. Using firm-level panel data from Vietnam that identify capital ownership sources, we show that foreign-owned firms have played a key role in reshaping sectoral employment shares between 2000 and 2020. To quantify the aggregate implications of these firm-level dynamics, we develop a multi-sector model featuring trade and multinational production. This study is a work in progress, and feedback is welcome.
