演講者簡介 : Professor Yi-Chun Chen received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University in 2009. He is a Professor at the National University of Singapore. His research interests are Game Theory and Mechanism Design.
演講摘要 : We characterize optimal selling mechanisms of a two-product monopoly for type distributions satisfying a mild regularity condition. Our approach builds on identifying the demand and price elasticity for each product bundle and reveals crucial features of the revenue-maximizing mechanisms such as whether and how to randomize/bundle. The analysis exemplifies how revenue maximization in mechanism design benefits from insights on the monopoly pricing of bundles and vice versa.
