演講者簡介 : Professor Hu received her Ph.D. in Economics from Kobe University at 2004. She is currently a Professor at Kobe University. Her research fields are Economic Growth/ Development and International Trade.
演講摘要 : This paper examines the relationship between market openness timing and growth dynamics. It is shown that, when only commodity trade is possible, there is no possibility for the late-developing country to catch up with the early ones. However, it is possible when financial market opens to the world at the same time.
