演講者簡介 : Shih-Wei Wu received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology, Cognition and Perception from New York University in 2008. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Nuroscience at National Yang-Ming University. His research field is in neuroeconomics, decision under risk, movement planning and computational modeling of visuomotor integration and planning.
演講摘要 : In this talk, I will first provide a historical overview on neuroeconomics, a relatively new interdisciplinary area of research that attempts to utilize theories, methodology, and tools from neuroscience, psychology, and economics to better understand how we make decisions. I will talk about the emerging topics and different lines of research within this field and their recent advances. Finally, I will present a heated two-way debate, that is, whether economics and neuroscience as individual disciplines could benefit from each other and will end the talk with some recent studies that attempt to provide initial insights to such debate.
