Input Location and Spatial Price Discrimination

  • 演講者簡介 : Ming-Hung Weng got his Ph.D. in Economics from Stony Brook University in 2006. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Economics at National Cheng Kung University. His research interest is in industrial organization, game theory, and microeconomic theory.
  • 演講摘要 : By taking into account the location where the inputs are acquired in the model of (Hwang and Mai, 1990), it is shown that the spatial monopolist will make the same location decision under either the mill pricing scheme or the spatial price discrimination one, and hence induce the same level of industry output if the delivery charge for inputs is relative significant.
