演講者簡介 : 袁國芝教授為Ph.D. in Economics，University of Essex (2005)。現為台灣大學經濟系助理教授。其主要研究領域為個體經濟學。
演講摘要 : This paper aims to analyze the equilibrium overconsumption in different structures of social networks. The character of jealousy is introduced into the individual's utility to express negative externality of consumption. We generate different types of social networks by a dynamic process developed by Jackson and Rogers (2007, AER). We study how individual equilibrium consumption is affected by different social network structures and make comparisons between competitive equilibrium and the social planner's optimal solution in several representative social networks.
