演講摘要 : Population growth is causing increased demand for U.S . water resources. In arid areas
this has led to water scarcity and a change in the way that property rights are assigned to water resources. A specific case study involving the Texas Edwards Aquifer will be discussed where population growth and environmental interests have caused a change in groundwater law to a market based system. An economic analysis of the effects of such developments and the terms within the water market will be presented.
