演講摘要 : This note presents a profit-function approach to resolve the ambiguity of welfare effects of third-degree price discrimination. A simple three-quadrant geometrical treatment is introduced to illustrate why this profit-function approach is superior to both output approach and price approach in comparing welfare under discriminatory pricing with nondiscriminatory pricing.
