演講摘要 : In individual or social choices, there often exist multiple criteria for decision-making. Typical examples are material preferences vs. sense of obligation in individual choice, and efficiency vs. equity in social choice. This paper investigates natural and reasonable ways to make choices with multiple criteria. We study how to compose two choice functions, C1 and C2, each of which represents a choice criterion, into a choice function C. We define reasonable or desirable properties that the triplet (C1; C2; C) should satisfy. Then we characterize three types of composition by some lists of properties. Key ingredients are properties of choice in “simple” situations and properties of (bounded) rationality.
