演講摘要 : We provide a model that allows the outsourcing decision of every firm in an industry to constitute an equilibrium. Under some parameter values, a portion of the firms use outsourcing and the rest of the firms use employment, forming an asymmetric equilibrium. We also compare the equilibrium with the solution of the planner’s problem, demonstrating a general over-outsourcing pattern. We also perform comparative statics on both the equilibrium and the solution to the planner’s problem, yielding the effect of changing parameter on the degree of distortion in the market.
