Starting from 2024, SETA will introduce the "SETA Best Young Scholar Award" which will carry a prize of $3,000.

This award will recognize the most outstanding paper presented by a young scholar at the annual SETA conference.

The selection will be based on the quality of both their research and their presentation.

All young and emerging scholars – either pursuing a PhD or have completed a PhD within the past five years -- attending the annual SETA conference are eligible to apply (the award will go to the presenter).

Submissions will be judged by an ad-hoc committee comprising two continuing SETA members and one member designated by the local organizers.
