本所於11月28-29日舉行「中研院經濟所六十週年所慶暨總體經濟計量模型研討會」。
本年度會議主題為「當前臺灣經濟的挑戰與對策」，除邀請楊金龍總裁與林本堅院士分別以「臺灣的通膨與貨幣政策：回顧與展望」及「最理想的半導體永續教育」為題進行專題演講之外，並邀請朱敬一院士以「一甲子中國經濟的崛起與蛻變」為題進行所慶演講。此外，會議另有15場平行場次，包括主計總處及央行，共計45篇的政策及學術研究成果發表。同時，「當前通膨的因果與對策」論壇則由台灣經濟研究院吳中書董事長擔任主持人，邀請東吳大學商學院許嘉棟講座教授以「當前通膨值得探討的議題」為題進行論壇引言，還邀請了中信金控首席經濟學家林建甫教授、本所楊淑珺研究員、國立臺灣大學財務金融學系劉憶如教授以及主計總處蔡鴻坤副主計長，一起探討當前的通膨現況，並對未來的發展與因應提供思考的方向與可能的對策。
The IEAS 60th Anniversary Ceremony and Annual Macroeconometric Modelling Workshop (MMW) was held on the 28th and 29th of November, 2022. This year's theme for the MMW was "The Current Challenges and Policy Strategies for the Taiwanese Economy." Academician Cyrus C.Y. Chu delivered the anniversary speech, "The Rise and Changes of the Chinese Economy in the Past Six Decades." The two keynote speakers for the MMW were Dr. Chin-Long Yang, Governor of the Central Bank, and Academician Burn J. Lin, whose keynote speeches were "Inflation and Monetary Policy in Taiwan: A Historical Review and Looking Forward" and "The Ideal Semiconductor Education", respectively. There were 15 parallel sessions in the MMW, including two sessions contributed by the Central Bank and the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) of the Executive Yuan.
The MMW policy forum, "The Causes of and Policy Strategies for the Ongoing Inflation," was chaired by Dr. Chung-Shu Wu, Chairman of the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research. Chair Professor Jia-Dong Shea from Soochow University led the discussion with "The Issues of Ongoing Inflation Worthy of Investigation." The forum panelists were Chief Economist Chien-Fu Lin from CTBC Bank, Research Fellow Dr. Shu-Chun S. Yang from IEAS, Professor Christina Liu from the NTU, and Deputy Minister Hung-Kuen Tsai from DGBAS. Their insightful discussions jointly helped establish a more thorough and acute understanding of the ongoing inflation facing Taiwan and other countries. They also suggested policy solutions for policymakers.
